If you're a fan of New American fare, a recent opening is need-to-know. The fresh arrival to Juneau Town, called East Town Kitchen & Bar, is located at 323 E. Wisconsin Ave.
Serving everything from lump crab hush puppies to a fried baloney sandwich to heartier fare like fried chicken drizzled with hot honey, mashed potatoes and coleslaw, the restaurant aims to offer, "comfort food -- elevated."
At happy hour -- between 3 and 6 p.m. on weekdays -- try a Peppered Paloma, with Patron tequila, citrus, agave, grapefruit, poblano peppers and chili-lime sea salt. The venue also offers breakfast and brunch.
With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival has been warmly received by patrons.

East Town Kitchen & Bar is now open from 6:30 a.m.-12 a.m. Monday-Thursday, 6:30 a.m.-1 a.m. on Friday, 7 a.m.-1 a.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m.-11 p.m. on Sunday, so stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood.
