If you're a fan of New American fare, a recent opening is need-to-know. The fresh arrival to Juneau Town, called East Town Kitchen & Bar, is located at 323 E. Wisconsin Ave.
Serving everything from lump crab hush puppies to a fried baloney sandwich to heartier fare like fried chicken drizzled with hot honey, mashed potatoes and coleslaw, the restaurant aims to offer, "comfort food — elevated."
At happy hour — between 3 and 6 p.m. on weekdays — try a Peppered Paloma, with Patron tequila, citrus, agave, grapefruit, poblano peppers and chili-lime sea salt. The venue also offers breakfast and brunch.
