Interested in sampling the freshest new spots in Seattle? From a gyro joint to a luxury hair salon, read on to see the newest spots to open their doors recently.

Gyro Heroes

Gyro Heroes is a new Mediterranean spot that offers vegan options.

Look for favorites like the gyro plate with lamb, beef, tomato and onion over jasmine rice served with warm pita bread; Arabic shawarma with chicken breast, garlic sauce, tomatoes, onions and pickles; and the baba ghanouj sandwich with tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce in pita. With five stars out of 18 reviews on Yelp so far, Gyro Heroes is already building a local fan base.

Lori H., who reviewed it on Nov. 27, wrote, "Awesome vegan dishes and sandwiches. We ordered the falafel pita sandwiches and fries. The falafel was tasty and creamy. It wasn't bitter like other places. I can't wait to go back to try the vegan plate. The rice looks amazing!"

Josh G. added, "Prompt service, polite staff and delicious food. We got the chicken gyro plate with a side of hummus and it was very tasty."

BOPBOX

BOPBOX is an Asian fusion, Korean and vegetarian spot. Look out for a variety of meat and veggie plates, bop bowls, entrees and numerous skillets.

Favorites include the signature Medley Bibimbop bowl, which includes a grain of your choice, watercress, sautéed veggies, beets, caramelized kimchi, toasted sesame and a sunny-side up egg. Add a protein for an extra charge. Skillets also come with a grain of choice and white cabbage kimchi. Look for the BOPBOX Lemongrass Ribs cooked with cilantro scallion and toasted sesame. 

So far it has a five-star rating out of five reviews, indicating rave attention.

Danielle C., who reviewed it on Nov. 24, said, "BOPBOX was a Korean/Japanese fusion delight—the food I had was savory and filling. I really liked how the food was healthy and made from scratch."

John B. noted, "Food is excellent, delicious and they offer a lot of variety. I ate the baby back ribs, the kimchi fried rice, sukiyaki, pork katsu and kimchi pancake with bacon."

BOPBOX is open from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and 11 a.m.–3 p.m. and 4:30–8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)

Maison Blanc Luxury Salon

Maison Blanc Luxury Salon is a hair salon and bridal spot.

Stylist and owner Galina Petersen graduated from from Gene Juarez Beauty Academy and Tony & Guy Advanced Academy in London, England, and came to Seattle in 1990. Services include essential hair and makeup combinations, a bridal style makeover, as well as costume hair and makeup. Visit the website here for pricing and a photo gallery of Petersen's work. 

It's received rave attention thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Aleksandra S., who was among the first to review it on Nov. 17, said, "Galina is an amazing hairstylist. She knew exactly what i wanted and delivered 100%. Maison Blanc absolutely exceeded my expectations. It's a beautiful place where you will feel special, beautiful and get treated as a celebrity from the minute you enter the door."

Marina M. noted, "Amazing luxury beauty salon where you can finally find your style! And you will be extremely surprised by the quality of product they are using—GMO-free and no chemicals!"

The new spot is open from 11 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed Monday, Thursday and Sunday.)

Atulea

Atulea is a tea room.

Matchas, milk and cheese teas are all featured. Favorites include iced or hot matcha americano; the eggnog matcha latte with cinnamon; and earl grey tea milk tea with bergamot aroma. Here's the menu

With a five-star rating out of 10 reviews, Yelpers are enthusiastic about Atulea so far.  

Ann Marie B., who reviewed it on Nov. 27, wrote, "Cute and cozy tea room! Love the decor and Vince was very helpful with what I wanted to get! I tried the Peach Jasmine cheese tea! Very interesting, but I like it!"

Em G. said, "Hiding on the other side of street, Atulea was hidden among the newish apartments. If you can't find it right a way, keep walking. The signage is small, but you'll see it if you look up. The cafe is Instagram ready and the owners/staff are super friendly and knowledgeable."
