Looking to sample the best burgers around town?

Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top burger outlets in Anderson, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to satisfy your cravings.

1. Arden's Burger & Grill

Topping the list is Arden's Burger & Grill. Located at 3319 N. Main St., the Asian fusion and traditional American spot, which offers burgers and more, is the highest rated burger spot in Anderson, boasting five stars out of 54 reviews on Yelp.

Arden's specializes in burgers with Asian flair. Look for the Seoul Burger, which includes Korean barbecue, kimchi and a fried egg. The Tiger Burger and Maui Burger are also featured on the menu.

Yelper Audra R. noted, "Asian and hamburgers at one restaurant? Crazy, but it was fantastic! The burgers were perfectly done with just the right spices."    

2. Sullivans Metropolitan Grill

Next up is Sullivans Metropolitan Grill, situated at 208 S. Main St. With 4.5 stars out of 101 reviews on Yelp, the bar and New American spot, serving burgers and more, has proven to be a local favorite.

Established in 1999, this spot is a full-service restaurant. Look for the Woodsman Burger on the lunch menu. It comes with muenster cheese, maple barbecue sauce, fried tobacco onions, lettuce and tomato. There's also the SOB with Swiss cheese, caramelized onion, bacon, lettuce and tomato.

Yelper Michael Z. wrote, "You can always count on having an unforgettable experience here. It's a great place to bring family or friends visiting from out of town because of its ambiance and delicious food."   

3. Arnold's Famous Hamburgers

Arnold's Famous Hamburgers, located at 184 Civic Center Blvd. in Brittany Plaza, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the spot to score burgers and more 4.5 stars out of 26 reviews.

Arnold's has three locations in South Carolina. Specializing in burgers and hamburger steaks, this spot offers online ordering and more. You can also get hot dogs, hot sandwiches, chicken tenders and various platters.

Diane G., who reviewed it on Sept. 14, said, "Love hamburgers? This is the place! The burgers, slaw and fries are made there. No frozen stuff. It's a very casual diner-like place. Nothing fancy, but really good food and friendly people!"

4. Five Guys

Five Guys, a spot to score burgers and fast food, is another much-loved go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 18 Yelp reviews. Head over to 3501 Clemson Blvd. to see for yourself.

Five Guys is a national chain restaurant with locations across the country. It serves up hamburgers, hot dogs and fries. There are also vegetarian options on the menu.

Yelper Brad H. wrote, "One of the best burger joints in the country. They are all consistently good across all locations that I have ever been in. The small burger is fine for me unless I am famished, then the double does the job!"
