Topping the list is Maple Street Biscuit Company. Located at 18 E. North St., Floor 1, the Southern breakfast spot, which offers comfort food and more, is the highest rated Southern restaurant in Greenville, boasting five stars out of 155 reviews on Yelp.

Mandy M., who reviewed it on Dec. 13, wrote, "This is the best breakfast around! Amazing biscuits and the fried chicken is to die for. Everyone is super friendly and don't forget to try the maple latte, it's delicious. The gravy has a little kick to it, so beware!"

2. Local Cue

Next up is Local Cue, situated at 30 Orchard Park Drive, Suite 7. With 4.5 stars out of 227 reviews on Yelp, the sports bar, which offers barbecue, chicken wings and more, has proven to be a local favorite.

The establishment allows customers to sit back and watch local or big games on TV, or play ping pong, Foosball, shuffleboard, shoot pool, throw darts or play one of their 250 nostalgic board games. It has 25 drafts, including local and domestic beers, on tap and serves snacks, sandwiches, wings and salad on its main menu

Paige F. wrote, "Local Cue is a great spot—it has the best bar food and plenty of activities. My favorite is by far the make-your-own mac and cheese! The serving size is huge and there's always enough to take home for another meal. The wings are also out of this world."

3. Tupelo Honey

Tupelo Honey, located at 1 N. Main St., Suite T, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the New American, Southern and breakfast and brunch spot four stars out of 709 reviews. On its website, Tupelo Honey boasts being named the Best Fried Chicken from Best of The Upstate in 2015 and 2016, and this year received awards for Great for Brunch, Fit for Foodies and Most Booked from OpenTable Diners Choice.

The highlights of this "saucy Southern tavern," according to its website, is the prime rib, beef brisket, ribs and pulled pork from the smoker. It also serves chicken, seafood and burgers cooked on the grill.
