In search of a new favorite South American spot?
Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best affordable South American restaurants around Deerfield Beach, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture when cravings strike.
1. Casa Do Pão Express
Topping the list is Casa Do Pão Express. Located at 100 S. Military Trail, Suite 23, the Brazilian bakery is the highest rated affordable South American restaurant in Deerfield Beach, boasting five stars out of 18 reviews on Yelp.
The quick-service stop offers breakfast and lunch, including pressed sandwiches and wraps, as well as a wide selection of freshly baked Brazilian pastries and breads. The entire menu is listed on a giant chalkboard behind the counter that also includes more than 20 smoothies, juices, teas and coffees.
2. Restaurante Brazil
Next up is Restaurante Brazil, situated at 843 W. Sample Road. With four stars out of 51 reviews on Yelp, the Brazilian spot has proven to be a local favorite among those looking for a cheap option.
Restaurante Brazil offers buffet-style meals priced per pound. Expect a salad bar, hot sides and grilled meats — including beef, oxtail and chicken — as well as a selection of items boxed to go.
3. Acai Com Tapioca
Acai Com Tapioca, located at 3264 W. Hillsboro Blvd., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the low-priced Brazilian spot, which offers juice, smoothies and acai bowls, four stars out of 22 reviews.
At Acai Com Tapioca, customers build their own acai bowls. There's also tapioca (crepe sandwiches) filled with chicken, beef, cheese and coconut and more, as well as varieties of the pie-like dish sfiha. As far as beverages, try one of the smoothies with either mango, papaya or cupuaçu, or opt for guarana juice.
4. Padaria Brasil
Padaria Brasil is another low-priced go-to Brazilian spot, with four stars out of 18 Yelp reviews. Head over to 841 W. Sample Road to see for yourself.
The bakery serves freshly baked authentic Brazilian pastries and drinks. Customers can order items on display, such as the yuca cake, cheese bread, coxinha comum (deep fried dough stuffed with chicken) or pão de queijo (baked yuca dough with Parmesan cheese). There are also omelettes, empanadas and burgers.
