Now open at 251 Calhoun St. in Corryville is Hopscotch Craft Beer & Whiskey.

True to its name, the newcomer offers craft beer and whiskey as well as cocktails. Current offerings on the extensive draft menu include domestic lagers like Pabst Blue Ribbon and Coors, and more artisanal selections like the Trees of Tahoe Pale Ale and Dogberry Bray's Brown With Coffee.

From the kitchen, expect to find shareable plates like pretzels and beer cheese, and a caprese grilled cheese sandwich.

Head over to 1535 Madison Road and you'll find Branch, a new wine bar and traditional American spot.

The restaurant and bar offers brunch and dinner menus. For midday eats, feast on challah French toast or buttermilk fried chicken. And at dinner, look for cranberry bean ragout, or a lamb and beef burger. Branch also offers a limited selection of wines, cocktails and desserts.

New to 26 W. Court St. in Central Business District isĀ Fiery Hen.

At this Southern-style joint, start off with fried green tomatoes or pimento cheese croquettes. For a heartier meal, look for burgers and fried chicken sandwiches, and pair those meals with sides like mac and cheese or cornbread. Then top the meal off with a specialty moonshine concoction.
