Group of teenagers steal cellphone on Muni

A 13-year-old girl snatched a 30-year-old man's cellphone on a Muni bus at Geary and Webster streets on December 29 at 6:21 p.m. The victim and another man, 37, chased the suspect and four other people off the bus, who subsequently assaulted the two men.

The four other suspects were described as two 13-year-old boys and two people of unknown age and gender. Officers arrived and took the three 13-year-olds into custody, but the two unknown suspects were able to flee the scene.

Two 16-year-olds take another cellphone

Just nine minutes after the first incident, two 16-year-old boys took a 26-year-old woman's cellphone aboard a different Muni bus at Gough and McAllister streets. The victim and another 28-year-old woman chased both suspects off the bus, ultimately catching them. Both suspects then grabbed the women's waists, telling the women that they possessed concealed weapons.

The victims let go in fear, and the suspects were able to flee on foot. No weapons were seen during the encounter, and no arrest has been made.

Pedestrian struck by vehicle suffers life-threatening injuries

Just before 2 a.m. on the morning of December 21, a 42-year-old man was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Gough and Grove streets. He was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver, a 33-year-old man, remained at the scene and was not arrested.

Two robbery suspects pull woman by her scarf, take cellphone

Two men aged between 18 and 25 approached a 22-year-old woman at Geary Boulevard and Laguna Street on December 18 around 6 p.m. One of the suspects pulled her backwards by her scarf, while the other man took the woman's cellphone. They then fled on foot with her property.
