A new bakery has debuted in the neighborhood. Located at 1200 N. Davidson St. in NoDa, the new addition is called Burney's Sweets & More.

Burney's Sweets & More is part of a local chain that has several other outposts in North Carolina. Look for the spot's stuffed croissants. You'll also find pies, cakes, cookies and more on the menu. 

The new bakery has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp.

Nikki W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 23, wrote, "It exceeded all my expectations. The stuffed and filled croissants are obviously the signature item. The spot also has a ton of other options: cakes, pies, apple fritters, doughnuts and cookies. There are gluten-free options, too."

Yelper Tori H. added, "My husband bought the 15-layer chocolate cake and it was delicious! The cake was so moist, and the icing was amazing. I felt like the cost was reasonable, too."
