Cold Pursuit

Nels Coxman's quiet life comes crashing down when his beloved son dies under mysterious circumstances. His search for the truth soon becomes a quest for revenge as he seeks coldblooded justice against a drug lord and his inner circle.

Set to be released today, Cold Pursuit already has a critical approval rating of 92 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, with a consensus that "Cold Pursuit delivers the action audiences expect from a Liam Neeson thriller -- along with humor and a sophisticated streak that make this an uncommonly effective remake."

You can catch it at AMC Assembly Row 12 (395 Artisan Way) through Sunday, February 17. Click here for showtimes and tickets.

Green Book

Tony Lip, a bouncer in 1962, is hired to drive pianist Don Shirley on a tour through the Deep South in the days when African Americans, forced to find alternate accommodations and services due to segregation laws below the Mason-Dixon Line, relied on a guide called The Negro Motorist Green Book.

With an 81 percent critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Green Book has been getting attention since its release on November 16. The site's critical consensus indicates that "Green Book takes audiences on a surprisingly smooth ride through potentially bumpy subject matter, fueled by Peter Farrelly's deft touch and a pair of well-matched leads."

Get a piece of the action at AMC Assembly Row 12 (395 Artisan Way) through Friday, February 15. Click here for showtimes and tickets.

On the Basis of Sex

Young lawyer Ruth Bader Ginsburg teams with her husband Marty to bring a groundbreaking case before the U.S. Court of Appeals and overturn a century of gender discrimination.

With a critical approval rating of 72 percent and an audience score of 72 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, On the Basis of Sex is well worth a watch. The site's critical consensus has it that "On the Basis of Sex is nowhere near as groundbreaking as its real-life subject, but her extraordinary life makes a solid case for itself as an inspirational, well-acted biopic."

You can catch it at AMC Boston Common (175 Tremont St., Boston) through Thursday, February 14. Click here for showtimes and tickets.
