An Evening with Singer-Songwriter Nicolette Good

Singer-songwriter Nicolette Good will perform at Sam's Burger Joint Thursday night. In 2012, Good was the winner of the Kerrville Folk Festival, and released her first full-length album "Monarch" the same year, according to the singer's website. Lone Star Music Magazine described Good as an "insightful and unsympathetic observer of the world she sees around her... and imagines for us." Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The show kicks off at 8:30 p.m.

Key Party Comedy Show

In this improvisational comedy show, the cast will choose a key from a bowl and call upon an audience member to become a part of the show. Local stand-up comics will kick off the show. Alamo Beer will provide the audience with free brews.

If you're looking to kick off your weekend with some tunes, check out a free concert in Pearl Park Friday night.

The concert will feature singer-songwriter and musician Carrie Rodriguez, along with accordionist Eva Ybarra; Latin Grammy-winning composer and musician Michael Ramos, musician and record producer Roscoe Beck; drummer, percussionist and singer Alex Marrero; and songwriter and guitarist David Pulkingham, according to Rodriguez's website.

When: Friday, Feb. 22, 7:30-9 p.m.
