We've rounded up four artsy events around San Antonio this week that will scratch your cultural itch, from a rock-and-roll murder-mystery dinner to a photography exhibit.

The Design, Sculpture, and Philosophy of Harry Bertoia with Celia Bertoia

First, learn the history of the late legendary designer Harry Bertoia, as told by his daughter, Celia, on Tuesday at the San Antonio Museum of Art. Celia will provide what it was like growing up with Bertoia as her father and background on his famous chairs and sculptural work. Bertoia, who died in 1978, was an Italian-born American artist in furniture design that is still used world-wide, printmaking, jewelry and monumental architecture, according to the museum website. 

When: Tuesday, Feb. 12, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Kill Me Tender

Next, catch a performance of "Kill Me Tender" on Tuesday at the Hard Rock Cafe. The event is a rock-and-roll, murder-mystery dinner where celebrity impersonators of the 1950s and 60s must determine whether someone dressed as Elvis Presley is the real singer or or a fake. Enjoy a meal that includes a house salad, Tupelo chicken tenders, grilled chicken breast, smoked brisket, mashed potatoes and green beans.  

When: Tuesday, Feb. 12, 7-9 p.m.

San Antonio 1860s-1990s: A Photographic Chronology

And finally, take a step back in time on Friday to examine historic photos at the exhibit "San Antonio 1860s-1990s: A Photographic Chronology" at the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures. The collection, assembled by senior photo curator Tom Shelton, includes more than 300 images from the institute's archives and provides views of San Antonio, daily life, street scenes, architecture and much more.
