'Parallels' at Weston Art Gallery

First, Salon21 is teaming with Cincinnati Soundbox to host a series of piano performances this Wednesday at the Weston Art Gallery. The evening will feature world premieres of five piano quintets written by up-and-coming composers from the U.S. and Poland. The compositions will be presented in Cincinnati and Poland this year.

OTR Wine Class: Great Reds of the Pacific Northwest

Next, LouVino OTR is hosting a wine class on Thursday that will cover "Great Reds of the Pacific Northwest." The class, which is led by sommelier Jeffrey Perdue, will include rich and robust red wine from Oregon and Washington State and teach participants how to pair wines with small plates. Light snacks will also be served.

February Brewer's Table: Sips & Chips

Then, head over to the Moerlein Lager House on Friday evening for a tasting combining beer and potato chips. The event will feature the establishment's chefs preparing gourmet chips to pair with its beer of the month, an Irish red, and other house brews.

Community Opioid Epidemic Healthcare Summit

The Christ Hospital Health Network is hosting a community summit on the opioid epidemic this Saturday. The free event will focus on explaining treatment options for patients with opioid use disorder, educating attendees on the role providers play in the road to recovery, and building empathy for patients and families affected by addiction. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Rumpelstiltskin with Madcap Puppets

Lastly, catch a performance of Rumpelstiltskin by Madcap Puppets this Saturday morning at the Madcap Education Center. The free family-friendly musical adaption follows a daughter, Rose, who must spin straw into gold to save her father from the king.
