A new Cajun and Creole spot, offering seafood and barbecue, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Angry Crab Shack & BBQ, the new arrival is located at 2501 W. Happy Valley Road in Deer Valley.

The restaurant offers a variety of appetizers, sandwiches and soups alongside its Cajun Seafood Boil, which includes options like shrimp heads, snow crab, blue mussels and more. Customers may customize this dish with sauces, spice levels and additional fixings of sausage, vegetables, red potato or corn on the cob.

Angry Crab Shack & BBQ has gotten mixed reviews thus far, with a three-star rating out of 18 reviews on Yelp.

TJ J., who reviewed the new spot on Feb. 3, noted "Not bad food, but the goofy costumes and affectations of the waitstaff was not my brand. Just looking for tasty food, not some sort of creole experience in North Phoenix."

Yelper Judy N. wrote, "Our server was amazing, she was so attentive and personable. Our food came out in a short amount of time, and it was great and filled with flavor! Will definitely be back."

Angry Crab Shack & BBQ is now open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Sunday and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
