Paper Mech - PSBMEM March 2019 with Concord Consortium

Concord Consortium's Sherry Hsi and colleagues are heading to the San Mateo County Office of Education for "a night of hands-on exploration of paper crafts and electronics," according to the organizers. A choice of three actives will be on offer: a "papermech" activity with a rack and pinion mechanism; another project composed of "straws, cropodiles and linkages," and a chance to make you're own microcontroller that can power a papermech sculpture.

Inner Bair Island Interpretive Walking Tour

The Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) hosts a 1.5-mile Inner Bair Island walking tour on Saturday, which will "highlight the wetlands and the marine life that live within," write the organizers. On the hike, expect to see salt marsh harvest mice, cottontail rabbits, peregrine falcons, pelicans, egrets, terns and more. Bring your binoculars to catch some of the region's birds and other critters up close.
