Looking to get out into the community this week?

From an educational forum to a St. Patrick's Day run, there's plenty to do when it comes to community and cultural events coming up in Charlotte this week. Read on for a rundown.

Can We Talk? 

This educational forum is being presented by the North Carolina Humanities Council and Queens University. It will focus on ways to make conversational conflict useful instead of harmful. The two-day forum is free but registration is required to attend.      

When: Thursday, March 14, 7 p.m.- Friday, March 15, 4:30 p.m.

Movement Day Charlotte 2019

Movement Day Charlotte aims to increase the gospel movement in Charlotte. FORCLT is presenting this event at the Charlotte Convention Center. Groups of five or more can receive a discount on the admission fee.

When: Saturday, March 16, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Where: Charlotte Convention Center, 501 S. College St.
Price: $74 (General admission for five or more); $79 (General admission for one to four people).

St. Patrick's Day Run  

This St. Patrick's Day event features a 1-mile or 3-mile run down the greenway at Freedom Park. Free coffee and doughnuts will be served after the run. All participants will receive free Dunkin' Donuts gift cards as well. 

When: Saturday, March 16, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Where: Dunkin' Donuts, 701 S. Kings Drive
