Looking for a new wine bar to check out? Look no further than this new arrival. Called The Farish House, the fresh arrival is located at 816 N. Third St. in Central City.
The intimate bistro serves small plates like its quinoa salad, roasted tomato soup and brandied chicken paté, which comes topped with raspberry jam, pickled onion and slices of toast.
The menu also offers entrées like the pork loin roulade with brandied apricot, brussels sprouts and rosemary filling; Angus prime rib-eye with cream sauce, roasted potatoes and sautéed kale; and baked eggplant accompanied by zucchini, squash and spinach.
Thirsty? A plethora of beer, wine and spirits are also available.
The new wine bar has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
John L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on February 28, wrote, "Wow. The next best-kept secret. Home-cooked meals in busy downtown. Had the rib-eye, one of the best steaks I ever had."
Yelper Nat B. added, “This place is so adorable. We were just walking by and stumbled upon it and couldn't help but go inside. All of the food was delicious and they serve the Prosecco in adorable coupes. Also, they have amazing vegetarian options and very reasonable prices."
