Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top bars to visit in Mt. Adams, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of neighborhood businesses. Read on for the results.
1. Blind Lemon
Topping the list is wine bar, cocktail bar and music venue Blind Lemon. Located at 936 Hatch St., it's the highest rated business in the neighborhood, boasting 4.5 stars out of 154 reviews on Yelp.
Opened since 1963, the bar was named after and in tribute to Texas blues musician Blue Lemon Jefferson, according to its website. Blind Lemon serves a variety of cocktails, has a garden area and provides live entertainment every night from musical acts of all genres.
2. City View Tavern
Next up is dive bar City View Tavern, which offers burgers, sandwiches and more, situated at 403 Oregon St. With four stars out of 106 reviews on Yelp, it's proven to be a local favorite.
City View Tavern serves mostly burgers and sandwiches. Look for the Philly cheeseburger with green pepper, onions, Swiss cheese and mayo, or opt for the West Side Reuben with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing topped on a burger.
Crowley's is another much-loved neighborhood go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 25 Yelp reviews. On its Facebook page, the business says it's the city's oldest Irish pub. Head over to 958 Pavilion St. to try it for yourself.
