Craving doughnuts? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The new addition to Downtown, called Gourdough's Public House, is located at 215 Losoya St.
It's doughnuts, doughnuts and doughnuts on the menu. On top of 19 signature doughnuts, such as the Black Out (chocolate icing, brownie batter and brownie bites with chocolate chips) and Granny's Pie (cream cheese icing, caramel, pecans, bananas and graham crackers), there are doughnut sandwiches, doughnut burgers and doughnut entrees. (Check it all out here.)
The newcomer has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp.
Jory W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 5, wrote, "Everything was great. Bone marrow butter beans, are you kidding me? [They] melted in my mouth. And never thought I would find my favorite salad, fresh and fancy, at a doughnut place."
And Eneida P. wrote, "This place is amazing. Inside is cool, new, cozy and modern. Fried eggs as appetizers are big hit. They serve good quality whiskey."
Head on over to check it out: Gourdough's Public House is open from 11 a.m.–midnight on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–2 a.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.–2 a.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.–midnight on Sunday.
