If you've got French fare on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called Bordeaux, the fresh arrival is located at 4734 Magazine St. in Uptown.
The restaurant features contemporary French and Creole cuisine paired with wines and specialty cocktails. Look for suckling pig, quail, lamb and pheasant prepared on the venue's custom-built French rotisserie, or fresh-shucked oysters from the oyster bar, all while relaxing on the outdoor patio.
Bordeaux has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Taylor R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 27, wrote, "The dinner I had at Bordeaux last weekend was fantastic."
And David D. wrote, "Tonight, I enjoyed the best beef tartare in the city while watching a parade and I did all of this from the comfort of a spectacular patio. Everything we ate was delicious. The venison was perfectly cooked."
Bordeaux is open for dinner from 5:30–10 p.m. Tuesday–Thursday and 5:30–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Stop by for brunch from 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It is closed on Monday.
