Negotiating Peace on the Korean Peninsula: Security & Human Rights in the Balance

5th Annual #BISONHACKS Howard University Hackathon

The students will be given 24 hours to develop applications for platforms that "automate, alert, organize, encourage and educate." Mentors will assist participants with either their coding or their business ideas, depending on their expertise.

La Grande Fête

Then, it's time for the credits to roll on the DC Francophonie Cultural Festival, the month-long celebration of all things related to the people and places that use the French language. The closing night party, known as La Grande Fête, will feature live music, art, literature, film and cuisine.

Closing Night Party for Robin Bell's 'Open'

Finally, projectionist Robin Bell's exhibition at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design also wraps up this weekend. Perhaps best known for his "guerrilla" messages projected on the Trump International Hotel in 2017, "Open" is a meditation back to the Corcoran’s 1989 decision to cancel a Robert Mapplethorpe retrospective over concerns that its government funding could be jeopardized. Fellow artists will respond on Sunday to the questions "Open" raises with with closing night of free dance and music.
