New bakery Baklovah Bakery & Cafe now open in King William

Looking for a new bakery to check out? Look no further than this new arrival. The new addition to King William, called Baklovah Bakery & Cafe, is located at 403 Blue Star, Suite 106.

This bakery was established by the same group behind popular local Mediterranean spots Pasha and Naara Cafe. Baklovah Bakery & Cafe serves up cookies, cakes, sandwiches, pizza and more.

From the menu, try the zaatar manakish, a type of flat bread pizza. It's topped with a blend of dried oregano, thyme, sumac and sesame seeds. Looking for something sweeter? There's the cinnamon Turkish delight, as well as the chocolate bomb filled with creme brulee. (Check out the full menu here.)

Baklovah Bakery & Cafe has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Michael B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 18, wrote, "Everything at Baklovah is delicious and unique. They have variety of cakes, mini pastries, Turkish delights, and delicious pizzas. ... Their new downtown location is absolutely stunning!"

And Tina T. wrote, "I love this Southtown location on the river! Excellent sweets and friendly service. I had a pistachio cannoli and my husband had Turkish Delight. Yum! We will definitely be back to have a full meal."
