A new diner serving breakfast and lunch has debuted in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Orange Tree, called BlackBerry Cafe, is located at 2090 N. Dobson Road, where Biscuits Cafe used to be.
As with any diner worth its salt, eggs dominate the breakfast menu, whether served alongside steak and hash browns, folded into an omelet or topped with bacon and placed between two halves of a croissant. They're not the only morning option, though. Waffles, pancakes, crêpes and French toast make appearances, as do bowls of oatmeal and yogurt parfaits.
Hearty lunch options start with classic burgers and move on to club sandwiches or even wraps. There's a house-made soup of the day, too, which you can get alongside salads like the Caesar or the Greek, or perhaps with one of the grilled chicken sandwiches.
A kids menu offers a choice of smaller, kid-friendly fare. Not only that, but it's made from disposable paper, inviting young ones to doodle or solve the challenging maze.
With a four-star rating out of 18 reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition has made a promising start.
Hanna W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 2, wrote, "The food was delicious. The service was a little slow, but with them just being brand new, it makes sense. The staff was delightful. The aesthetic was farmhouse and super cute."
And Leith H. wrote, "The food here is absolutely divine, and the entire staff is extremely friendly. Our waitress Sami wore a smile the entire time and was quick to get us what we needed."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: BlackBerry Cafe is open from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. daily.
