A new cafe and Italian spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Uncle Nicky's, the new addition is located at 4222 Duval St. in Hyde Park.

The menu includes eight different antipasti, pane tostato (Italian bread topped with Italian ingredients), salads and sandwiches. Diners can order a zucchini pane tostato (marinated zucchini, mint and lemon) or a spicy capicola & scamorza on focaccia or a roll. The drink menu has wine and craft beer.

With a 4.5-star rating out of 21 reviews on Yelp so far, Uncle Nicky's has already made a good impression.

Lauren K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 6, wrote, "We got the toasts, which were all amazing. My favorite was the PB&J, a sweet toast with raisins and pine nuts over marscapone cheese. I also loved the Classico, which was more savory. The prosciutto and ricotta with honey combo was on point."

And James S. wrote, "We thought this was a restaurant, but it's more like a food bar that serves a variety of appetizers. However, the food was absolutely delicious. Some of the best meatballs I've ever had. The kale salad and foccacia bread were also delicious."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Uncle Nicky's is open from 7 a.m.–midnight daily.
