New Mexican spot El Antojo debuts in Old Town

A new Mexican spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 2502 San Diego Ave. in Old Town, the fresh addition is called El Antojo.

The restaurant serves classic Mexican dishes, such as burritos, enchiladas and chicken mole and carne asada combo platters. It also has an all-day Taco Tuesday special with $3 tacos, as well as weekly beer specials.

With a four-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Curtis F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 25, wrote, "This is a wonderful restaurant that no one seems to know about yet. I had carne asada, which was delicious. The service was excellent. One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to."

Yelper Jeff R. added, “Excellent food! The atmosphere is nice. I would definitely recommend this place. I had a combo plate, beef enchiladas and beef burrito. Top notch Mexican food here!”

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: El Antojo is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m.–10 p.m. on weekends.
