Looking for a new sports bar to check out? Look no further than this new arrival. The new addition to Shirlington, called Dudley’s Sport and Ale, is located at 2766 S. Arlington Mill Drive.

TVs abound in the long-awaited tavern, including a reservable movie theater-type setting with stadium seating. The food menu reads like a pub grub all-time hits list: wings, onion rings and slider for appetizers, and pizza, burger and fish and chips as mains. As for drinks, you can stay traditional with cans of Bud Light or a frozen margarita, or expand your horizons with a craft ale or maybe a boozy shake.

Also note the rooftop deck, which boasts its own bar, televisions and picnic tables.

The new arrival has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Caitlyn B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 16, wrote, "This space is so unique — it's got stadium-style seating in one room so you can watch sports in a movie theater setting. Then there's the main bar area with tons of TVs, bar seating, high tops and booths. There's also a smaller, more intimate bar in the back on the first floor. So much room for activities."

And Joe E. wrote, "Wait staff was very friendly and incredibly attentive. Good sports watching area with lots of TVs, but it lacks the true sports bar vibe due to loud pop music playing through the speaker system. Dining area is very open and doesn't feel crammed. Food was good but slightly expensive."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Dudley’s Sport and Ale is open from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m.–2 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.–1 a.m. on Sunday.
