A new breakfast and brunch spot, offering burgers and sandwiches, has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called Simone's, the newcomer is located at 665 Washington Road in Mount Lebanon.

This spot serves breakfast and lunch items like eggs, pancakes, bacon, burgers, sandwiches and salads. The early crowd can try a stack of pancakes, or the Avocadonater three-egg omelette, filled with bacon, avocado, tomato, onion and cheese.

Mid-day diners might opt for the Cock-a-doodle-doo sandwich, made with chicken, brie, onion and arugula on a fresh bun.

With a four-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, Simone's is on its way to developing a local fan base.

And Alistair C. wrote, "Stopped in for opening day and they hit it out of the park. The menu is filled with comfort foods. I think this will be a very popular place"

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Simone's is open from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday and 8 a.m.–2 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
