A new Vietnamese spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called SimpleViet, the fresh addition is located at 2223 Business Circle, Suite 20 in West San Carlos / Burbank.

This new fast-casual spot features traditional Vietnamese recipes with a modern and healthy twist, according to its website

The menu, which can be placed online or while you're at the restaurant, boasts a build-your-own-meal concept. You can start by choosing a protein, like rare steak, grilled lemongrass chicken or spiced coconut tofu, among others. Then, add in a base, such as vermicelli noodles, jasmine rice, brown rice or bread rolls. Round the dish out by adding toppings, like cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon, Thai basil and more. (You can check out the full lineup here.)

SimpleViet has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp.

Trang T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 26, wrote, "I'm really excited SimpleViet joined the neighborhood! I work in the area and I've found that the selection of good restaurants are few and limited so I'm happy to see they've finally opened."

Yelper Ella P. added, “The food is really fresh and the service is really friendly. I have never seen any place make the spring rolls to order! They taste amazing because they are so fresh! My new go to!”

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. SimpleViet is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. daily.
