Unpacking Meal Prepping: A Nutrition-Focused Panel

Another panel convenes on Wednesday to discuss nutrition, superfoods and how to build a healthy lifestyle, according to the organizers. Hosted by Batch, which bills itself as a "contextual commerce company," the event features food and fitness entrepreneurs from Modern Picnic and Era Organizcs, "as well as a trainer and nationally ranked triathlete from Hydrow."

San Francisco Chocolate Salon 2019

Next up is chocolate tasting at Golden Gate Park. The 13th annual SF International Chocolate Salon will feature demonstrations, author talks and tastings from dozens of chocolatiers, including Amano and CocoTutti, among others.

SweetSpotSF - SF's Dessert Festival

Up next, SOMArts Cultural Center hosts dessert festival SweetSpotSF, "where the best confectioners in the Bay Area will showcase their unique creations," according to the organizers. The event will feature local purveyors, like Sweet Condesa, Three Twins Ice Cream and Smashmallow, among others. Cocktails and mocktails will also be on offer.

Pop-Up Dinner / Flavors of West Africa

Finally, explore the cuisine of West Africa with Senegalese-American chef Serigne Mbaye at Rigolo Cafe. The six-course meal will run from black-eyed pea fritters to black codfish served with fonio, a West African grain that's been called "the next quinoa."
