With new owner stepping in, Velo Rouge Cafe plans to stay the samePhoto: Camden Avery/Hoodline

It's the beginning of a new chapter for popular Inner Richmond breakfast and lunch spot Velo Rouge Cafe (798 Arguello Blvd.)

The cafe, which offers morning and midday fare alongside coffee and a small selection of beer and wine, is in the process of transferring to new ownership.

But new owner Hakwoon Kim says there's no need for fans to worry. When he takes the reins sometime in the next month, he plans to keep "everything the same as before."

Manager Adam Brown confirmed that Kim is planning to stay the course.

"As far as we know right now, that's the plan," Brown said. "The new owner is going to keep all the staff, the same menu."

Velo Rouge's former owners, Amy Jo Brown and Ciaran and Siobhan McFeeney, announced their departure in a Facebook post last month.

"I cannot thank all the wonderful customers, staff, musicians and artists enough for supporting us over the years," Ciaran McFeeney wrote. "All of you have made the Velo a wonderful snug of community and friendship."

During the ownership transition, Velo Rouge Cafe will remain open daily: 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, 6:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekends,
