A woman is in critical condition after driving the wrong way down a one-way street and crashing her car into a tree in the early hours of this morning.

Police say the woman, 31, drove the wrong way on Leavenworth Street (between McAllister and Golden Gate) around 2 a.m. before colliding with the tree.

She was hospitalized with a life-threatening head injury. According to police, no one else was injured in the incident, and no arrests have been made.
