San Jose-based wireless hardware company Cassia Networks has secured $10 million in Series B funding, according to company database Crunchbase, topping the city’s recent funding headlines. The cash infusion was announced on March 29 and financed by Wu Capital.

According to its Crunchbase profile, "Cassia Networks is a wireless telecommunications company that focuses on Bluetooth technology. The company’s research aims to further develop Bluetooth technology for use in local area networks. Cassia Networks product portfolio includes the Cassia Hub Bluetooth router, Bluetooth smart plug, Bluetooth multi-color led, personal safety sensor and Bluetooth speaker."

The five-year-old company has raised five previous funding rounds, including a Series B round in 2017.

The round brings total funding raised by San Jose companies in hardware over the past month to $51 million. The local hardware industry has produced 36 funding rounds over the past year, raking in a total of $1.2 billion in venture funding.

In other local funding news, rewards and marketing company Miles announced a $2.2 million seed funding round on April 3.
