Craving poké? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Just Poké, the new arrival is located at 4339 University Way NE in the University District.
Try a signature bowl or build your own combination of proteins, toppings and add-ons, which include pineapple, jalapeno, seaweed and more. The restaurant, which was established in 2016, was constructed out of recycled materials; the owners, Seattlite duo Danny and Norman, also practice sustainability by working with local vendors and using compostable materials, according to their website.
With a 3.5-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp so far, the new spot has gotten a good response.
Lesly W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 12, wrote, "I'm very pleased with the choice of fish. They had raw and cooked options. There was a lot of sauces to choose from and I could mix and match. They limit you to two toppings."
And Eric P. wrote, "Amazing service and friendly faces! I got a poké bowl before I went to work and it made my day so much better. The quality of the poké and the vegetables were unlike any other place I've tried. Definitely coming back!"
