Stop by in the morning to score an order of French toast or biscuits and gravy for breakfast, or take a seat in the afternoon and indulge in favorites like the mock tuna melt served on toasted bread with organic tomato, onion, sprouts and spinach. This cash-only spot offers a plethora of soup options on a rotating basis Monday through Friday — Stop by at the end of the week and sip on chicken soup, Thai pumpkin, tikka masala or crabby shrimp bisque.

This spot specializes in house-made signature cocktails. Stop by, sit down and indulge in a cocktail like Death In The Afternoon, an absinthe libation with cava, or sip on a classic brandy old fashioned. Over in Morgandale, check out Bombay Sweets, which has earned four stars out of 118 reviews on Yelp. Dig in at the vegetarian Indian restaurant by heading over to 3401 S. 13th St.
Start your meal with a side of samosas before opting for main entrees like the aloo parotha platter, which includes spiced potatoes served with channa masala, homemade yogurt, onions and pickle; the halwa poori platter with sweet halwa, channa masala, aloo sabji, spiced homemade yogurt and pickle; or vegetable biryani — fragrant rice cooked with fresh garden vegetables and nuts.
