New Cajun/Creole spot LA Crawfish Shack debuts in Eldridge / West Oaks

A new Cajun/Creole spot, offering seafood and salads, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 2020 Highway 6 South in Eldridge / West Oaks, the new addition is called LA Crawfish Shack.

This new spot is the second location of the restaurant to open in Houston. The first location opened in 2010 at the corner of Gessner and Harwin. LA Crawfish Shack serves Louisiana-style seafood dishes and crawfish all year around.

The menu consists of appetizers, fried basket meals, salads, po'boys, boiling pots and more. Start off with small bites like fried gator tails, served with green onion remoulade sauce, or stuffed lump shrimp that’s stuffed with breading, onions, red and green bell peppers and deep fried.

For a full meal, choose from a wide selection that includes jambalaya dirty rice, fried crawfish po'boys, oyster baskets and seafood gumbo.

LA Crawfish Shack has made a good impression thus far, with a 4.5 star-rating out of two reviews on Yelp.

Rafael G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 6, wrote, "On a date with my girlfriend we came here. The place was nice looking with good music. The food is good and made at a decent speed."

Head on over to check it out: LA Crawfish Shack is open from 11:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 11:30 a.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday.
