New Mediterranean spot Sahara Restaurant & Grill debuts in Regent Square

If you've got Mediterranean on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called Sahara Restaurant & Grill, the newcomer is located at 7600 Forbes Ave. in Regent Square.

This Turkish and Mediterranean bistro offers a wide selection of chicken, seafood and lamb-focused plates like kebabs and more. There's also plant-based options like veggie-stuffed Turkish dumplings and eggplant packed with peppers, potatoes and herbs.

Sahara Restaurant & Grill has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Olga D., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 17, wrote, "My favorites were the whole branzino fish and shrimp. As for dessert, the baklava and revani were great. Make sure to pair it with some Turkish coffee served in a cute, tiny cup."

Yelper Paul H. added, “The lentil soup was nicely spiced and the hummus and pita were very fresh and tasty. I also enjoyed the doner kebab and the baklava for dessert."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Sahara Restaurant & Grill is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
