New pub Crown Public House now open in Central City

A new pub has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Called Crown Public House, the fresh addition is located at 333 E. Jefferson St. in Central City.

Start off with some chicken wings, poutine, or buffalo cauliflower before opting for the Crown Burger with Swiss cheese and a fried egg; salmon poke with cucumber, avocado, green onion and sprouts; or jumbalaya pasta with ham, chicken, andouille sausage and shrimp served over fettuccine. Thirsty? Grab a brew. A plethora of TVs are on site to kick back and watch the game. (Here's the menu.)

The new pub has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Janielle W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 7, wrote, "My husband and I both ordered the grilled cheese with chips. The sandwich had tomato, bacon and lots of cheese. It was just the right amount of cheese,"

And Steph H. wrote, "I'm definitely coming back here! Best Shepard's Pie and fish and chips I've had for a while! Service was great and the restaurant was clean."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Crown Public House is open from 11 a.m.–2 a.m. daily.
