Michelle, golden retriever mix

Michelle is a female golden retriever mix puppy staying at Furry Tales International Rescue Team.

Michelle plays well with others — she gets along well with children, dogs and cats. Her vaccinations are up to date. No need to worry: She is already house-trained.

Notes from Michelle's caretakers:

She is happy and active but listens very well and behaves on the leash. Michelle was found on the streets at 3 months old. She was trusting and affectionate towards people right away. Since then, she has been staying in a foster with 11 other doggies and two cats. She loves to run around and play outside with other dogs, but she will get jealous over toys and may show other dogs that she is the boss. Michelle doesn’t really notice cats and is good with kids and strangers. She would love to find an active family to explore the world. She would also appreciate a fenced in yard. This playful girl is 7 months old and is most likely a golden retriever/ laika (Russian hunting dog) mix. Since Michelle is still a puppy, she requires around 60 active minutes a day. Born sometime in September 2018, Michelle weighs 35 pounds and is 17 inches tall at the shoulders.

Sal, Australian cattle dog mix

Sal is an adorable male Australian cattle dog puppy currently offered for adoption by Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association, Inc.

Sal is here to make friends — he gets along well with other dogs. He loves walks and is very active.

He already has all of his shots. He has work to do on house-training etiquette.

Sal's caretakers say:

Sal is about 5 months old and 22 pounds. He is super sweet and loves to give kisses. Sal lives on a horse farm. He is good [with supervision] around the horses. Even though Sal is a puppy, he can be bossy meeting new dogs, so proper introductions for this guy and keeping him socialized would be best for him. He is a bit of a food monger. Sal is good [with supervision] with free range chickens, but he does give chase because it’s fun. Sal needs a patient family that has the time to train a puppy.

Stark, Australian cattle dog and coonhound mix

Stark is a male Australian cattle dog and coonhound puppy currently housed at Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association, Inc.

Stark is a social butterfly — he'll get along great with other dogs. He already has all of his shots. He's still working on getting house-trained.

What my friends at Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association, Inc. think of me:

Stark was born in foster care to a purebred cattle dog momma who took very good care of him and his siblings. His daddy was a coonhound mix (confirmed via DNA test). He is absolutely adorable, very sweet and Velcro. Stark seems to be on the medium/low energy side but is definitely up for adventure and work. We have been doing quick training sessions with meals, working on sit, down, waits, spins, paw and hand touches. He is very much about his nose, and I feel like he would excel in nose-work sports. But at the end of the day, he loves nothing more than snuggles on the couch. He has grown up exposed to children, cats and livestock, but currently lives with four dogs with which he does well but can be a bit of a pest. He can be overstimulated and insecure around new dogs and tends to vocalize. However, he does warm up quite quickly. He is social with new people. Continued training and socialization is incredibly important. Stark is 12 weeks old (4/18) and about 15 pounds.

Mickey, shepherd mix

Mickey is a male shepherd puppy currently housed at Furry Tales International Rescue Team.

Mickey is a social animal; he's happy to keep company with other dogs. He is very obedient.

He is still working on getting house-trained. His vaccinations are already up to date.

Notes from Mickey's caretakers:

Mickey was found on the street when he was about 2 months old and taken into the shelter with his brothers and sisters. Mickey is a super sweet and smart boy, he loves people, but the stress of the constantly changing fosters has taken a toll on him, and he is very shy at first. He seems to open up and do well when he interacts with another non-dominant dog, so we are looking for a very patient and loving family with a dog. Mickey loves to play and run around but also does not mind to just relax and be mellow laying on his dog bed. Still, because Mickey is a puppy, he will be needing about 60 active minutes every day to keep him healthy. Mickey is 10 months old now and weighs 55 pounds and his height is 22 inches. Mickey has not had any interaction with cats.

Fury, Australian cattle dog mix

Fury is a male Australian cattle dog and coonhound puppy being offered for adoption through Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association, Inc..

Fury is a social animal; he gets along well with other dogs. He already has all of his shots. He has work to do on house-training etiquette.

From Fury's caretaker:

Fury is a 12-week male ACD/Coonhound/Setter mix (per DNA test) who was born in foster care. Fury is a very sweet, laid-back boy who loves to snuggle and enjoys being with his friends. He has been socialized with lots of adult dogs, cats, livestock and children. He is expected to mature in the 45-50 pound range; he currently weighs 18 pounds. With his hound nose, he can follow it into trouble, so a fenced yard would be ideal. He loves to adventure, but when playtime is over, he is good to entertain himself with toys and chewies.
