In need of some sporting goods? A new business has you covered. Located at 3938 Horton St. in Emeryville, the newcomer is called Decathlon.

This is the second Bay Area location (but first "superstore") for the global sporting goods retailer, which offers affordable brands dedicated to sports gear. The store offers a full range of products for snorkeling, running, tennis, camping, boxing and more. (Check out all they have to offer here.)

With a four-star rating out of 22 reviews on Yelp so far, Decathlon has made a promising start.

Yelper James T. noted, "Everything seems 'cheap for the quality' but not necessarily cheap in quality. Things look like they're built to last, but you'll see very few brands you recognize. They have punching bags, weights, water sports camping equipment galore and even MMA stuff.  Items are about half price of what their premium counterparts would charge, but with a house brand."

And K C. wrote, "Exciting to have a family-friendly sports store where the toys used to be. Happening vibe. Kids on scooters. Halfway through the shoe aisle, you realize it's the Ikea of sporting goods — all one brand with quirky names."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Decathlon is open from 9 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.–8 p.m. on Sunday.
