Three adults were sent to the hospital for evaluation of their non-life threatening injuries, Baxter said. The Red Cross and city services are working to treat and house the building's residents.
Though the cause of the fire is still under investigation, Lt. Baxter said in a press release that the building was unequipped with working smoke detectors or fire alarms.
