Meet Klaus, our latest adorable rescue. He was surrendered by his adopting family to San Jose Animal Shelter for chasing their cat when introduced off-leash. Klaus ended up on the kill list, so we stepped in to save this guy, who by all accounts has blossomed from a very scared and timid stray to a trusting and faithful dog. He is still shy at first, but will attach himself to you as soon as he determines you mean him no harm. Treats are very persuasive! He’ll be leaning on you and asking for love in no time. He is calm, gentle and playful, without being bothersome and loves going on walks. He is a great companion dog.

Reggie is a male Pekingese and spaniel mix in the care of Toy Breed Rescue.

Reggie plays well with others — he's happy to keep company with other dogs. Good news: he has already been house-trained. He is vaccinated and neutered.

Reggie is companion oriented and it would not be fair to leave him alone for 10 hours a day as an only dog while you work. He knows how to use the doggie door and is crate-trained.
