Lucca is a Husky mix about 10 months old. She was relinquished into our rescue after her owners broke up their relationship. Lucca is a mellow girl that loves to hang out or go for walks. She is great on leash and is house-trained, crate-trained and knows her basic commands. Lucca is great with everyone and everything. This sweet girl will make a great companion for any household.

Klaus, German shepherd

Klaus is a male German shepherd dog being kept at Angel's Furry Friends.

Klaus gets along well with other dogs. He's mastered his house-training etiquette. Klaus is neutered and vaccinated.

From Klaus' current caretaker:

Meet Klaus, our latest adorable rescue. He was surrendered by his adopting family to San Jose Animal Shelter for chasing their cat when introduced off-leash. Klaus ended up on the kill list, so we stepped in to save this guy, who by all accounts has blossomed from a very scared and timid stray to a trusting and faithful dog. He is still shy at first, but will attach himself to you as soon as he determines you mean him no harm. Treats are very persuasive! He’ll be leaning on you and asking for love in no time. He is calm, gentle and playful, without being bothersome and loves going on walks. He is a great companion dog.

Reggie, Pekingese and spaniel mix

Reggie is a male Pekingese and spaniel mix in the care of Toy Breed Rescue.

Reggie plays well with others — he's happy to keep company with other dogs. Good news: he has already been house-trained. He is vaccinated and neutered.

Here's what Reggie's friends at Toy Breed Rescue think of him:

Reggie is a 6-year-old Pekingese/Spaniel mix that is Mr. Personality! He is very playful, loves to go for walks and every time he sees a leash he’s hopping up-and-down ready to go! He is great with other dogs and would enjoy having a playmate in his new home. His new home should either have another dog as a companion or a stay-at-home parent. Reggie is companion oriented and it would not be fair to leave him alone for 10 hours a day as an only dog while you work. He knows how to use the doggie door and is crate-trained. We are are uncertain as to how he would be with little kids, so children over the age of eight should be fine.

Dolly, American Staffordshire terrier mix

Dolly is a winsome female American Staffordshire terrier mix staying at Group Education to Protect and Defend Animals.

Here's what Dolly's friends at Group Education to Protect and Defend Animals think of her:

There are no bad days in Dolly’s world. Dolly is snorty, sweet, goofy and just plain adorable. This female bully-style girl is ready to begin entertaining adoption applications. She is very well behaved in the house and loves attending weekly obedience class/dog social because there are snacks. She is a total keeper with low/medium energy who cares more about following you around than anything. Sofa time, sunbathing, easy walks, belly scratches and soaking up attention are her favorite hobbies. Responsive to training and just the right mix of confidence.
