Umbrellas at the ready: Rain in the forecast for San Francisco todayPhoto: iStock

San Francisco will see a return of last week's light rainfall today, according to drone-powered weather forecasting service Saildrone. The forecast for Tuesday calls for 0.17 inches of rain in the city, with cool temperatures — the expected high is 57 degrees.

Things should get drier and warmer from here, though. Temperatures will begin to warm up starting tomorrow, climbing to a high of 64 degrees on Friday before hovering in the low 60s over the weekend.

Winds should reach a modest high of 18 mph today, but will calm starting on Thursday.
