New to 4213 Campus Drive in University Town Center is Breakfast Republic, a breakfast and brunch and traditional American spot.
"Breakfast Republic is raising feathers in Southern California as a top spot to enjoy the most important meal of the day," its Facebook page states. This regional franchise has seven additional Southern-Califonia locations.
Menu standouts include the Jurassic Pork Benedict (a poached egg, hollandaise sauce, bacon and parsley), the shrimp and grits breakfast (gouda cheese-infused grits, shrimp cooked in hot sauce, sweet corn and chives, served with three eggs) and the Mr. Presley (peanut butter-stuffed French toast topped with bananas foster and bacon.)

The Bow Room
New to 860 Spectrum Center Drive, Hello Kitty Grand Cafe in Irvine Health and Science Complex is The Bow Room, a cocktail bar and speakeasy.
The spot offers up Instagrammable cocktails with powdered patterns and a "Hello Kitty" theme. Yelpers recommend ordering the Bow Room Magic (vodka, butterfly pea flower, passionfruit and citrus), which lights up, and the Picture Perfect, a vodka-based libation that comes with a Polaroid.
Jersey Mike's Subs
Wander over to 4537 Campus Drive in University Town Center and you'll find Jersey Mike's Subs, a deli, offering sandwiches, fast food and more.
The franchise serves up hot and cold subs, wraps and breakfast sandwiches. Yelpers recommend ordering Mike's Famous Philly, made with tender steak topped with peppers, onions and white American cheese.
