Squidsoup Bridge Preview Night

Kent State’s Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative invites you to experience two immersive lighting installations by Squidsoup, a UK-based arts group. These installations are made possible thanks to the generous support of the Cleveland Foundation’s Creative Fusion program, Waterways to Waterways edition. Please join us on June 19 to be among the first to see Squidsoup’s installations, entitled Ascendance and Cuyahoga Flow. Additionally, Cleveland's Praxis Fiber Workshop will be hanging three indigo-dyed banners from the bridge, produced through a series of community dye workshops. The preview event is free, but reservations are required. All visitors to the bridge should wear flat shoes. Erie Hack Final Competition

Join us for the final Erie Hack event of 2019, an exciting day of top Erie Hack teams pitching their technology solutions to some of Lake Erie's greatest problems. Teams from Cleveland, Detroit, Buffalo, Windsor, Erie and Toledo will be wrapping up this six-month competition that empowers researchers, designers, engineers, developers and creatives from cities around the Lake Erie Basin to build teams, develop innovations and compete for more than $100,000 in prizes. Registration includes the full day of pitches, lunch, panel presentations from early-stage technology companies, the keynote speech, food and beverages and a reception.

Summer Solstice Wine Dinner

Join us as we taste through some of the bounty that comes from our very own farm, paired with wines well-suited to bring you into the height of summer. The 'Seasons of Change' Dinner Series is a quarterly dinner celebrating the coming of each new season, showcasing what Spice Kitchen + Bar does best: hyper-local and seasonal cuisine. Sample dishes made from local meat, dairy and vegetables, including harvest from our own farm, Spice Acres in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This is a four-course tasting menu paired with wine.

Global PechaKucha Night: Waterways

On Thursday evening, Cleveland will kick off a weekend of celebration with PechaKucha Night: Waterways, a groundbreaking event featuring presentations from thought leaders from around the world. Taking place in the 5,000 seat open-air Jacobs Pavilion amphitheater on the banks of the Cuyahoga River, this event is taking place 50 years after the last time industrial pollution caused a U.S. freshwater river to catch fire.
