There's a brand-new beer bar in town. Located at 430 W. Fourth St. in Downtown Charlotte, the fresh arrival is called Taproom Social.

The Taproom Social features more than three dozen different self-serve taps for local craft beers and wine. The food menu includes traditional bar appetizers such as nachos, as well as salads, paninis, flatbreads and charcuterie boards. Plus, you won't miss any of the local or national sports action on its 11 TVs.

With a 4.5-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp so far, the new beer bar has been warmly received by patrons.

Ashley R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 7, wrote, "This space is perfectly appointed with a small patio area, a spacious bar area, space to lounge, as well as high and low tables to sip and snack."

Yelper Suzanne A. added, “The Taproom Social is a new uptown self-serve bar featuring 40-plus taps of local beer and wine. It's adjacent to the BB&T Ballpark and not too far from the Panthers stadium. What's great about this concept is that you get to choose the amount and the cost of your purchase. ”

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Taproom Social is open from 4 p.m.–10 p.m. on Monday, 4 p.m.–11 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, 3 p.m.–midnight on Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m.–midnight on Saturday and 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday.
