New York-based cloud infrastructure company SecurityScorecard has secured $50 million in Series D funding, according to company database Crunchbase, topping the city’s recent funding headlines. The cash infusion was announced June 13 and led by Riverwood Capital.
According to its Crunchbase profile, "SecurityScorecard provides the most accurate rating of security risk for any organization worldwide. The proprietary SaaS platform helps enterprises gain operational command of the security posture for themselves and across all of their partners and vendors. It provides continuous, non-intrusive monitoring for any organization including third and fourth parties."
The six-year-old company has raised four previous funding rounds, including a $27 million Series C round in 2017.
The round brings total funding raised by New York companies in internet services over the past month to $441 million, an increase of $288 million from the month before. The local internet services industry has seen 216 funding rounds over the past year, raking in a total of $5.9 billion in venture funding.
In other local funding news, cloud data services and social media advertising company VidMob announced a $25 million Series B funding round on June 13, led by BuildGroup.
According to Crunchbase, "VidMob is a video content creation network and platform where brands can create digital video ads with expert teams. The internet is becoming a video network. Everything that has been communicated in words and pictures for the past two decades is quickly being replaced with video."
Founded in 2014, the company has raised three previous rounds, including a $6.4 million Series A round in 2018.
Meanwhile, data visualization and market research company Dstillery raised $5.9 million in Series D funding, announced on June 12. The round's investors were led by NewSpring Capital.
