Irving Subs, which opened its first location in the Inner Sunset (1298 12th Ave.) a little over four years ago, has debuted a second location at 112 Waverly Place in Chinatown.

Owner Crystina Lee told Hoodline that she chose to expand to Waverly Place because she grew up in Chinatown, and has a special connection to it.

The new location offers the same menu as the original, with specialty subs like "The Giants" (thick-cut bacon, cheddar and avocado) and "The Warriors" (salami, mild coppa, mortadella, provolone and roasted red peppers). The menu also includes low-carb wrap options and salads.

Veteran Hoodline tipster Al M. also alerted us to a new bubble tea spot in Chinatown. As of this week, Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea has opened at 870 Washington St.

This is Yifang's third Bay Area location and second in San Francisco (the others are at the Stonestown mall and in Berkeley). It serves teas in flavors like passion fruit and winter melon, as well as classic tea lattes and salted "creama" teas. All can be accessorized with add-ons like boba, red beans and fresh fruit.

The shop also has a mobile app that allows tea fans to order ahead and skip the line.

Closure

According to Hoodline tipster Al M., North Beach Mexican eatery Adolfo's has closed. Yelpers have reported the closure as well, and the restaurant's phone is disconnected.

It was a brief run for the restaurant, which just opened in March in the space previously occupied by sandwich outfit DIP.

We've reached out to the owners and haven't yet heard back as to whether they plan to reopen, or whether the closure is permanent.
