It's time for another look at notable crimes reported in the Castro since our last roundup. All details are from official SFPD reports, unless otherwise noted.

Assault, robbery with air gun

On July 31 at 5:00 p.m., a 22-year-old man was near Market and Dolores when another man, 20, approached him and struck him with an air gun before stealing his phone and fleeing. The victim was transported to the hospital with a cut to his forehead.

18th Street robbery

Early on July 30 at 1:45 a.m., a 60-year-old man was on 18th near Castro when an unknown male suspect pushed him against a wall and stole his wallet before fleeing. No injuries were reported.

Six-suspect stabbing

On July 29 at 2:45 a.m., a 31-year-old man was near 18th and Castro when six male suspects approached him and stabbed him multiple times before fleeing on foot. The victim was taken home by a bystander and then to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Triple-robbery ends in arrest

Later on July 29 at 5:15 p.m., a 25-year-old male suspect approached three men, ages 23-54. The suspect pushed one of the men and punched a second one before stealing a cell phone and briefcase from all three of them. Officers arrived and arrested the suspect.

Stolen vehicle rams police car

Early on July 19 at 1:50 a.m., officers pulled over a stolen SUV near Market and Dolores. A 25-year-old male suspect in the vehicle then rammed the vehicle into the police car and fled. No injuries were reported.

18th Street purse theft

Early on July 16 at 12:50 a.m., a 23-year-old woman was on 18th near Noe when an unidentified suspect approached her and grabbed her purse, sending the victim to the ground. The suspect fled with the stolen items and the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Website meeting ends in stabbing

On July 15 at 8:00 a.m., a 58-year-old man invited a younger man, 25-30, to his residence after meeting him on a website. When the younger man refused to leave, he stabbed the resident on his hand with some scissors. A brief struggle ensued and the suspect fled. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
