As we reported back in May, Market Street's new Abe’s Pizza comes from Abe Zal, a 25-year veteran of Blondie's Pizza, which was previously located a block away on Powell Street. In addition to cheese, pepperoni and vegetarian slices, it offers specialty pies like Hawaiian, barbecue chicken and bacon-artichoke-chicken.

So far, the new pizzeria off to a promising start, with a current Yelp rating of four stars out of seven reviews.

Yelper Gissel M., who reviewed the pizzeria on July 30, wrote, "Yummy, affordable pizza."

Lovdeep S. noted, "I got two cheese slices with ranch and a Coke. It was more than enough."

Abe’s Pizza is open from 10:30 a.m.–midnight on Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday.

Led by Tim Tran, a licensed acupuncturist with a master's degree in traditional Chinese medicine, Timmy Tran Acupuncture offers treatment for a variety of conditions. Tran specializes in pain management and stress relief, offering clients meditation, qigong and massage therapy in addition to acupuncture.

Timmy Tran Acupuncture is open from 11 a.m.–3 p.m., Monday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sundays.)

Sushi Nagai

Located on the ground floor of the Hotel Abri, luxurious new omakase spot Sushi Nagai offers a single tasting menu, with a hefty $180 price tag. Chef Tomonori Nagai, who trained at Michelin-starred sushi restaurants in Singapore, creates his menu based on the seasons, offering pricey delicacies like Hokkaido sea urchin, fatty tuna and caviar.

The new addition has been popular with Yelpers, which holds a 4.5-star rating out of 22 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Katherine J., who reviewed Sushi Nagai on July 16, wrote, "The selection and order of fish served was excellent. I loved everything, but here are some highlights: The uni, toro and caviar bowl with shiso flowers destroyed me. Nothing I eat will ever live up to that. Smoked bonito and golden eye snapper were both amazing in flavor and balanced so well with shiso."

And Yelper Nik T. wrote, "The artfully curated ingredients, complexly balanced taste, expertly matched temperature, lovingly shaped into one perfect bite, every time! It's a coaster ride that you never wish will come to an end."

Sushi Nagai is open from 6–9 p.m. on Tuesday-Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
