Instead of (or in addition to) your traditional barbecue or picnic, why not celebrate Labor Day weekend in style by seeing some live music in Oakland?

The action kicks off on Thursday with Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band live at the Paramount Theater, followed by Oakland's big, all-weekend Hiero Day celebration. Want to give back over the weekend? Patronize Luka's Taproom to benefit Oakland Animal Shelter, or Zumba for a cause at the Oakland Peace Center.
