New York-based air transportation company Wheels Up has secured $128 million in Series D funding, according to company database Crunchbase, topping the city’s recent funding headlines. The cash infusion was announced Aug. 9 and led by T. Rowe Price.

The six-year-old company has raised five previous funding rounds, including a $117 million private equity round in 2017.

The round brings total funding raised by New York companies in transportation over the past month to $208 million, an increase of $199 million from the month before. The local transportation industry has produced 51 funding rounds over the past year, yielding a total of $506 million in venture funding.

In other local funding news, video games company Statespace announced a $2.5 million seed funding round on Aug. 8, led by FirstMark.

According to Crunchbase, "StateSpace provides performance analytics and a suite of tools for casual gamers and eSport athletes to maximize their potential."

The company also raised a seed round in 2018.

Meanwhile, employment and career planning company MEDIJobs raised $900,000 in seed funding, announced on Aug. 7.

The company previously raised $700,000 in seed funding in 2018.
